The Catastrophe

This is not one of my happiest pieces but I quite like it. I've kept it quite raw and unfinished. It hovers between Tapies and Pollock, with a little Bacon for flavour. It is based on my inability to have the women who inspire me (A.K.A. Muses) also fall in love with me. It is too much to ask, I suppose, and I fear that I may not have made the best impression on the lass. Damn. The title, The Catastrophe, is specifically melodramatic and over the top, to match my penchant for melodrama and over-the-top reactions to emotional setbacks. One of these days, I'll get that under control. Until then, though, there are always paintings...
